Cueca de La Libertad

Life, I like the landscape of my land so much
that I don't want to be in it as if I were a foreigner
and I want sea and mountain speaking my own language
and not ask anyone for permission to build the new homeland.

And with regard to freedom
life, no one deceives me
that as long as there is misery
there is no worthwhile freedom.

Wow, there is no freedom
if dignity is missing.

Freedom has arrived, conquered by the people
in the Chilean heart its flame has already been lit.
And it will always remain here, the homeland is determined
with unity and work, no force will prevent it.

And this is true freedom
with the homeland rescued
with justice in the forefront
our land liberated.

The people and their dignity
conquer their freedom.
