Annabel Lee
Many many years ago in a kingdom by the sea
There lived a maiden whose name was Annabel Lee
And that flower grew without thinking of anything else
But to love and be loved, be loved by me.
We were just two children but our love was so great
That the angels in heaven envied us
For they were not as happy, not even half
As everyone knows, in that kingdom by the sea.
So a wind came out of a dark cloud that night
To chill the heart of the beautiful Annabel Lee
Then came to take her away her noble family
To bury her in a tomb in that kingdom by the sea.
The moon does not shine without bringing her in dreams
Nor does a star shine without seeing her eyes
And so the night passed lying with her
My dear beautiful, my life, my wife.
Our love was stronger than the love of the elders
Who know more as they say about the things of life
Neither the angels in heaven nor the demons of the sea
Will ever separate my soul from the soul of Annabel Lee.
The moon does not shine without bringing her in dreams
Nor does a star shine without seeing her eyes
And so the night passed lying with her
My dear beautiful, my life, my wife.
In that tomb by the sea
In her grave by the noisy sea.
Many many years ago in a kingdom by the sea
There lived a maiden whose name was Annabel Lee
And that flower grew without thinking of anything else
But to love and be loved, be loved by me.
