O Exilado
Rafael Oliveira (Gospel)
The Exiled
I'm far from my beautiful homeland
I'm tired
I miss Jesus
Oh! When am I going?
Little birds, beautiful flowers
They want to enchant me
They are splendid terrestrial gaps
But I contemplate my home
Jesus gave me his promise
Come get me
My heart is in a hurry
I want to fly now
My sins were many
I am very guilty
But your blood makes me clean
I go to the homeland
What son of your homesick home
I want to go
Which bird to the nest
To escape into your arms
He is faithful, his coming is certain
When, I don't know
But he says to be alert
From exile I will return
I await your coming, singing
My home in heaven
I will hear your footsteps sounding
Beyond the dark veil
Little birds, beautiful flowers
They want to enchant me
They are splendid terrestrial gaps
But I contemplate my home
