A Maior História de Amor
Rafaela Pinho
The Greatest Love Story
On the heavenly throne, the Son presented to the Father, the final proposal
With his sacrifice, to save the most precious good
From the clutches of evil
The noblest Being became man,
Died because he loved his oppressive tormentor
Accepted his martyr's fate,
On the cross he completed his redeeming plan.
Wrapped in pain, the Father gave his Son
The Greatest Love Story.
The struggle ended, a weeping, a cry
From the fatal fate, God rescued us.
The burden that subjugated the Holy Lamb was our sin
His disfigured face, wounded, marked exclaimed:
'It is finished!'
Back to the Father, the Son, nostalgic, shows the scars on his hands
And turning his eyes to the earth He says:
'Today my children have Salvation!'
Wrapped in pain, the Father gave his Son
The Greatest Love Story.
The struggle ended, a weeping, a cry
From the fatal fate, God rescued us.
Wrapped in pain, the Father gave his Son
The Greatest Love Story.
The struggle ended, a weeping, a cry
Man killed, his Savior
