O Dia Vai Chegar
Rafaela Pinho
The Day Will Come
One day in the city of Jerusalem
A father called his children
Looked into their eyes
And said: There will be a sacrifice
Our sins
We have to redeem
And one of the little ones said: Father
Why do we need to kill a little lamb there?
The father took his hand and answered like this
The day will come
When the Son of the living God
Transformed into a Lamb
Will take away the sins
The day will come
When this sacrifice
Will no longer be necessary
Oh, my child! The day will come
One day, in Gethsemane, Jesus asked
Father, if possible, take this cup from me
He knew that in a short time, there
The soldiers would come
To take Him to die
As a human, He cried until He bled
As God, He just surrendered
And the price was paid
But before His Father withdrew, He heard
The day will come!
When the cry of victory
Will cover the suffering
Of the One who endured everything
The day will come!
When the marks on His hands
Will give the world salvation
Oh, My Son! The day will come
Here in this dark and cruel world
Evil seems to dominate
There is no place for love
We cry out: How much longer, Father
Will the darkness of sin continue here?
We have chosen this God
And now, He calls us
Listen to His voice
Calls us to rise
To overcome! To overcome!
The day will come
When Christ, the King of Glory
Who changed our history
Will reign forever
The day will come
No more pain, no more suffering
No more guilt, no more sin
Oh, my child! The day will come
No more pain, no more suffering
No more guilt, no more sin
Oh, my child! The day will come
The day will come
