Inici de Càntic En El Temple
Raimon
Beginning of a Chant in the Temple
Now say: "The broom blooms,
all over the fields there's red from poppies.
With a new sickle, we start to reap
the ripe wheat and with it, the weeds."
Ah, young lips opened after
the darkness, if you knew how long the dawn
took to arrive, how long it is to wait
for a rise of light in the shadows!
But we have lived to save your words,
to return to you the name of each thing,
so you could follow the straight path
to the full dominion of the land.
We looked far beyond the desert,
descending to the depths of our dream.
Dry cisterns become peaks
climbed by steps of slow hours.
Now say: "We listen
to the voices of the wind over the high sea of grains."
Now say: "We will remain faithful
forever to the service of this people."
