The Crown

Oh, oh

The crown He wore was not made of gold (although)
Although they crowned Him as King (it was not of ruby)
It was not of ruby or diamond (it was made of thorns)
But it was made only of vile thorns

Why treat a King this way?
And why make Him wear such a crown?
He was never forced to wear it
But out of love, He left His royal home

The crown that Jesus wore on the cross
Was made for me (made for me)
He exchanged it for my salvation (He exchanged it)
And will never have to wear it again

The enemy does not give up easily (he wants)
He wants to make Him wear such a crown
But always keep this in mind (at Calvary)
At Calvary, good triumphed over evil (and the crown will never have to be worn again)

The crown that Jesus wore on the cross
Was made for me (He exchanged it, He exchanged it)
He exchanged it for my salvation
And will never have to wear it again

The crown that Jesus wore on the cross
Was made for me (He exchanged it)
He exchanged it for my salvation
And will never have to wear it again

And will never have to wear it again
And will never have to wear it again
And will never have to wear it again

The crown that Jesus wore on the cross
Was made for me (He exchanged it)
He exchanged it for my salvation
And will never have to wear it again

The crown that Jesus wore on the cross
Was made for me (it was made, it was made for me, He exchanged it)
He exchanged it for my salvation
And will never have to wear it again

And will never have to wear it again
And will never have to wear it again
