Pedacito de Cielo
Raly Barrionuevo
Little Piece of Heaven
The house had a gate
Painted with complaints
And songs of love.
The night filled with dark circles
The gate, the ivy
And the old balcony...
I remember you used to laugh back then
If I read to you
My best verse
And now, whim of time,
Reading those verses
We both cry!
The years of childhood
Passed, passed...
The gate is asleep from so much silence
And in that little piece of heaven
Your joy and my love remained.
The years have passed
Terrible, wicked,
Leaving that hope that will never come
And I remember your mischievous gesture
After that kiss
Stolen by chance...
Perhaps with the breeze
Your warm laughter cooled down,
Your clear voice...
Maybe your dark circles escaped
The gate, the ivy
And the old balcony...
Your burnt sugar eyes
Had golden distances
Under the sun...
And today you want to find like back then
The trembling bronze gate
Full of love!...
