Altar without Tears
Already in the lips of your people there is no outcry
Nor in their chest does a humble heart exist
That weeping that was shed on your altar
Were signs of their sensitive heart
But all that is now in the past
There is no one to make their spirit humble
There is no one to seek my God with their heart
And ask him please
To forget their transgression
When will we cover again
The altar of our God with our weeping
When will we water again
Our tears like a pleasing perfume
Our heart separated from you
There is no consecration and you know it
It is the reason there is no weeping or outcry
That there are no tears, Lord, on your altars
There is no time to listen to your voice anymore
Today your people conform in their joy
They discard moments of prayer
And the nights when you blessed us
Now is the time to turn back to God
Prepare the heart to worship him
Let my chest finally let out that outcry
That was extinguished at one point
But that must be heard today
When will we cover again
The altar of our God with our weeping
When will we water again
