Sons de Carrilhões
Raphael Rabello
Sounds of the Chimes
If you’re gonna cry one more time
Breathe in the blue, look at the sea
Close your eyes, count: One, two, three
Listen to the sounds of the chimes
There’s no need to despair
There’s wind blowing in other directions
And when the weather doesn’t help and the storm torments
Another lighthouse will signal with its light
It’s just that longing does this
And the remedy is to try to forget
Take a stroll in the gentle breeze and watch the sunset
See another day with the sun rising
It’s just that time does this
It’ll steer your gaze away from the pain
As long as there’s no peace from another flower
In your heart to see that the old thorn has dried up
I know that loneliness is tough
It digs its roots in every heartbreak
And it tortures and curses and doesn’t heal
If no one fills the void of so much pain
But a new love, finally
Mends the rag of love that tore
Gathering the shards and scraps from other times, new sails to reach a new harpooner
