Two Little Trees
Two little trees have grown on my ranch,
those little trees that look like twins.
From my little house, I see them all alone,
beneath the holy shelter and the light of heaven.
They’re never apart from one another,
because that’s how God wanted them to be born.
With their same branches, they share sweet touches,
as if they were lovers who cared for each other.
Little tree, little tree, under your shade,
I’ll wait for the day when I’m tired and fade away.
And when I’m all alone, gazing at the sky,
I ask for you to send me a companion.
Little tree, little tree, I feel so lonely,
I want you to keep me company until I die.
