El Buen Pastor
Raphy Leavitt
The Good Shepherd
Up there very high in the sky a soft sound is heard
Of love, tears fall behind the veil while
A prayer rises, the Good Shepherd
My father, your children have forgotten you, my father
They no longer respect your commandments
And not even with your death could I teach them what your law is
Like my mother, there is no other
But there are some who deserve you to give them strength
For those struggles that they must face with their children day after day
They kill each other, they steal from each other
They no longer respect the faithful friend's wife
Accursed vices, drowning them
They have become rock, why? why?
The good shepherd used to say
Whoever follows me will lack nothing
But what slaves live by vice
They are slaves of evil
Mothers who have children
Take care of them, you will overcome
Because I am the way
Because I am the truth, he said
But where will we end up
If this continues as it is?
Many you call, my father
But very few will listen to you
Futile effort of this your son
Who wanted to save your flock
False prophets are seen daily
Covering the world with a storm
Everything in their minds has turned to rock
Humanity will soon be extinguished
