Sri Guru (Sri-Guru-vandana)

I worship the lotus feet of the spiritual master, the abode of pure devotion
Being very careful, I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of my spiritual master
By his mercy, one can cross the ocean of material suffering and obtain the mercy of Krsna

The words of the spiritual master are as good as the Vedic knowledge
Let me firmly fix them in my heart and live by them

He who has given me the gift of sight is my master birth after birth
He reveals divine knowledge in my heart
From him, pure love and devotion emanate, dispelling ignorance
His character is sung in the Vedas

The spiritual master is an ocean of mercy, the friend of the fallen
He is the master of the people and their life and soul
Oh Lord, please be merciful to me, give me the shade of your lotus feet
Now let me float in the universe
