El Camino

The Road
The sun on the sidewalk has already set
it's useless to try to run, the storm will wrap you up,
your heart has no parachute
it has no brakes in its wild flight, that's why it goes,
inexorably crashing somewhere.
A good tear will always clean,
when you're stuck in an illusion, it will ease you.
There are lights that shine on what isn't there,
with the advantage of a marked deck, I go,
there's no pain that can hurt the hollow of a heart.
The night is not a rival,
lightning strips away its loneliness,
it won't hurt you, then it leaves.
eyes that get used to the dark,
on the hidden side of the shadows, I have to be,
flying like a bat, guessing the light.
On the road of life, there's the corner of goodbye,
I'm healing wounds, buddying up with the pain.
