It all started when rock and roll reigned
back in the seventies.
Everything happened in the midst of confusion
during times of peace and war.

And through a gray window
I found freedom.
Purple rain was falling
and I dreamed of being a rockstar.

Son of hard rock I became by choice
a bad influence.
And I gave my love to girls with no reputation,
the experience was better.

And in the neighborhood they questioned
my duty and my morals
and the volume of my band
shook the peace of home.
