La Leyenda Del Holandés Errante
Rata Blanca
The Legend of the Wandering Dutchman
I've managed to overcome a thousand storms
searching for the land I once left,
always waiting in the sky for the star
that lights the way back,
and with the wind cross this sea
that is so hard to navigate,
and breathe again the air
of the place where I was born
I lost my course and in exchange for my soul
I stole the greatness of this sea,
I was condemned to wander aimlessly,
empty and wandering without a port or home,
my prison is the whole world without land
that I can someday step on again,
Because only my hope is death,
and my punishment is eternity.
I will give up my last breath
that remains in my life to be able to return,
even if I walk forever in darkness
and my only light goes out in my loneliness,
I will not leave my memory to fate
that makes me forget my port and my home,
nor will I surrender my courage or my blood, I will fight...
Beyond the threshold of the horizon,
where the storm never reaches me,
I will search for the land that the sea hides.
because only my hope is death,
and my punishment is eternity.
(Solo)
If my life has come to an end,
I pray to God that before I die,
with the last gust of wind,
the sea takes me to you.
Beyond the threshold of the horizon,
where the storm never reaches me,
I will search for the land that the sea hides.
because only my hope is death,
and my punishment is eternity.
I will reach my freedom even if I fall, and I will fight for
all eternity...
