Reina Madre
Raúl Porchetto
Mother Queen
Smiling, she said goodbye to her mother
She was heading to the south of the Atlantic
The kingdom commanded it
Because some savages
Dared to disturb
The imperial order and they will pay
Tanks, planes
Ships and ammunition
Mother, stay calm
That's how the world goes
They are from the south of the earth
What can they do to us?
We are different
We are better
But mother
What's happening here?
They are just like me and love this place?
So far from home
That I can't even remember the name
Because I'm fighting
Because I'm killing
Today the queen strolls in the gardens
The sun kisses her roses
Life smiles at her
The Parliament ensures that everything stays the same
That nothing disturbs its calm
Then she will have a movie-like Premier
From a famous director
Who tells the horrors
Of war and men
And she gets emotional (and laughs) and applauds its good ending
But mother
What's happening there?
They were just like me and loved that place
So far from home that I can't even remember the name
Because I was fighting
Because I was killing
