Um Messias Indeciso
Raul Seixas
An Indecisive Messiah
Once there was a man
Common, like any man
Played barefoot soccer
Grew up and became a man of faith
But there was something strange about him
He remembered having lived before
In distant worlds and thus believing he became
And believing in himself
He became the wisest among his people
And the people asking for miracles
Called this man God
Ah, how many illusions!
Ah, how many illusions in the lights of dusk
How many secrets will it have
And while he worked
On his chosen task
The crowd gathered
Asking for the secret of life
And he simply said
Destiny is what we make
We make our destiny
In the mind of those who are able
And seeing the confused people
How terrible, more and more followed him
He fled to the forest alone
To ask God where he was going
Ah, how many illusions!
Ah, how many illusions in the lights of dusk
How many secrets will it have
But it was his own voice that spoke
Thy will be done
Follow your own path
To truly be happy
And that voice was heard
Over hills and valleys
Before the Messiah indeed
Who never wanted to be worshipped
Ah, how many illusions!
Ah, how many illusions in the lights of dusk
How many secrets will it have
