A Verdade Sobre a Nostalgia
Raul Seixas
The Truth About Nostalgia
Everything old they make me listen to
And so many new things they throw away without enjoying
I don't deny that the poetry of the 50s is beautiful
But where does all the feeling of the 70s go?
I will do what I like...
I will
From the beautiful 50s
But where is the 70s?
That's why I'm unintentionally enjoying the nostalgia
Because something is missing to happen
Mom already listens to the Beatles
Dad already dazzled
With my long hair
I went against what I already am
I will do what I like
Mom with the Beatles and dad said
Then I went against what I already am
Rock nowadays has changed, become something else
That's why I cut my hair
At the curve of the future many cars overturned
Maybe that's why the road stopped there
However, behind the dangerous curve
I know there is
Something new
More vibrant and less sad
I will do what I like
Behind the curve of danger there is
Something much newer and less sad
