Só Devo a Ele

They talk, comment, invent things I didn't do.
They don't rejoice in my victory and still say: He got rich!
They slander, and hope I disobey my pastor.
And that before anything else sadden my Lord, who loves me.
They rejoice when they see you passing by with an old car or on foot.
They quickly say you did something wrong, and doubt your faith.
And there are even some of them who dare to say: He sinned!

I may have a new car, nothing in the garage.
That has nothing to do with my faithfulness.
If there's a blessing, I stand firm, if there's a test, that's when I give glory!
If he wants to test me, I'll pass the test.
I don't murmur, I don't complain, I go through giving glory.
Because in the end of it all, I have victory.

Let the people talk, talk more about me.
I keep worshiping, I don't care.
My goal is Christ, to Him I owe my explanation!
I follow the church that belongs to the Lord.
I owe obedience to my pastor.
I will keep singing,
Marching to heaven.
Worshiping I go!

I keep worshiping, even if many don't accept it.
I'm sure of what I believe.
God chose me!
I am loved by Him.
And it's no use threatening me, or cornering me.
God is my father, and I am His son.
My explanation I only owe to Him!
