O Mestre No Comando

They set out on the boat, into the middle of the sea
On the calm waves, the wind blowing
At the bow of the boat, comfortably settled, the master was sleeping

Then suddenly, the sky darkens, the wind blows strong
The waves rage, the boat sinking
The disciples rowing and Jesus sleeping

They went to wake the master, shouting in fear
Master wake up and help us
We are going to die drowned

In the same place where He was
He gets up
And He looks at the sea and says
Calm down sea, be still wind
It is your God who commands!

It may be difficult, storm covering you
The boat is sinking, the waves overwhelming you
If Jesus is in the boat
You won't drown even if He is sleeping

He calms the storm, He stirs the wind
He walks on the sea, He is the lord of time
The boat is rocking, but one thing I assure you
You won't die before your time

There is victory on the other side, a banquet prepared
I'm talking to you
You who have wondered: Lord, how is this?
Will I die forgotten in this drowned sea?

You won't die now in this calamity
Jesus is in the boat commanding the storm
The trial is tough, but the blessing that is coming will know every city
And it will be great, and it will be great, your victory
