In the Caribbean near the Grand Canyon
there's an island that's all heart
and a song aims to grab attention
about a forgotten
and very pathetic situation.
For centuries it was crushed
it was the dump
and the brothel of everyone
and it gave a lesson
with courage and determination
escaped from the selfishness, ignorance, and mud.
Resistance...
But the one in charge
started to get annoyed
that was a grain
in his pretty crystal
and he created tortures to suffocate
and a barbed wire around it
made of deadly hatred.
Between pride and desolation
crossed lies infecting opinions
in Cuba there's a people
that knows how to stand
in a future time history will thank them.
Resistance...
Nothing is perfect,
everything must change
the road to freedom is very tough
to get closer to the ideal
in search of a world where
people enjoy it
free and in peace.
Our abundance is for
those who can pay
it's only possible
at the expense of others
the slow death and the nonsense
of everything
that truly has value.
