In Gethsemane he cried out for the press of oil there he called
Father if you want this cup to pass from me
Nevertheless, let your will be done in me
An angel appeared from heaven to comfort him
The pain tore his heart and pierced his soul
In agony, his sweat became drops of blood, flowing to the ground
And he found his disciples sleeping at the hour of prayer
Rise and pray so as not to enter into temptation
Rise and pray it's time of tribulation
Rise and pray it's Peter who will give up
Rise and pray they mock me
Rise and pray the crowd accuses me
Rise and pray they shout: Release Barabbas!
Rise and pray an innocent man was crucified
And they took Jesus to Golgotha
With a heavy cross on his back
They spat on his face
There was no reason for them to mistreat him like that
They slapped him many times on the way
They placed a crown of seventy-two thorns on his head
A spear pierced his abdomen
They did not accept that Jesus Christ was that man
With nails they pierced his feet and hands
They crucified Christ before all that crowd
Like a silent lamb he was led to the slaughter
He endured everything to save humanity from perdition
Giving his last breath he said
Father, it is finished, I entrust my spirit to you and died!
But on the third day he rose again
And the cold tomb could not bear the warmth of life that arrived there
And he said to Mary and his disciples
I am alive! I am Alive!

Because he lives I can believe in tomorrow
Because he lives there is no fear
But I know, I know, that my life
Is in the hands of my Jesus who is alive
Rise and proclaim hope has not died
Rise and proclaim the Son of God is alive
Rise and proclaim that I am salvation
Rise and proclaim awaken this generation
Rise and proclaim Greater works they will do
Rise and proclaim with virtues they will go out
Rise and proclaim the white fields are ready
Rise and proclaim the trumpets will sound
