I Venti Del Cuore
Renato Russo
The Winds of the Heart
Fields of lavender and the car that goes
Behind those cypresses, the road will bend
And past the hill, who knows,
If the house will appear to me as it once did
And every time I think of you, you were there
That smile in your pocket, wide and incredulous
How many kids and dogs you had around
And what a noise of colors at sunset
And memories get confused, where I wouldn't want
The memories then wrinkle and I no longer know who you are
And the winds of the heart blow and the angels abandon us
With the hunger for faces and words
Following ghosts of love, our ghosts of love
And it almost seemed like an eternity
Since I didn't climb barefoot over that wisteria
In the dim light, I watched you sleep with all the April nests in your hair
And the images get lost, I couldn't stop them
And the pages don't reveal who you were and who you are now
And the winds of the heart blow and then the angels abandon us
With the desire for voices and people
Following ghosts of love, our ghosts of love
We follow ghosts of love, our ghosts of love
When the winds of the heart blow
We follow ghosts of love, our ghosts of love
