De Que Te Vale
Rene Gonzalez
What's the Point
Reaching the top, achieving people's gaze
Eliciting applause from everyone, being first in line perhaps
Changing the world, maybe with a new message
That disrupts hearts, being the center of all attraction
Having everything in life is part of the plan
Being loved and respected truly
Everything is good, in fair measure and reason
Let's look back, where it all began
What we were before, what we are today
Why insist on taking glory away from the Lord
What's the point of achieving whatever you want
Being applauded by people if behind the curtain
The giver of life sits, waiting for a day
When they pay attention
What we have, we have by grace
By His mercy, by His immense love
And when the curtain opens if anyone admires you
May they see the image of God
Lord forgive me, if the applause or any comment
Have moved me, to take the glory, my God
I thank you, for your love and mercy
I strip myself of all greatness, my crown I place at your feet
So what's the point, of achieving whatever I want
Being applauded by people if behind the curtain
The giver of life sits, waiting for a day
When they pay attention
What we have, we have by grace
By His mercy, by His immense love
And when the curtain opens if anyone admires you
May they see the image of God
What's the point of achieving whatever you want
Being applauded by people if behind the curtain
The giver of life sits, waiting for a day
When they pay attention
What we have, we have by grace
By His mercy, by His immense love
And when the curtain opens if anyone admires you
May they see the image of God
