Friends
Since we were kids, we learned
To love each other like brothers,
Soccer and marbles,
The good and the bad.
Many times we fought,
Other times we barely spoke,
But I’m still friends
With the one who’s like my brother.
You’re my friend, I’m your friend
Forgive me if I let you down,
I know it well, you know it too,
I’ll always be close by your side,
I want to be there and share,
The good times and the bad,
I want to laugh, maybe cry,
Friends that...we never forget. (Repeated but only once)
In moments we sense
That we find ourselves alone,
It’s there that they appear,
Those who are more than brothers.
The gifts we gave each other,
The words we kept silent,
The hugs we denied,
To the one who’s not by your side,
But still out there are many,
Waiting for a hug,
They need the one
Who’s to be called brother.
You’re my friend, I’m your friend
Forgive me if I let you down,
I know it well, you know it too,
I’ll always be close by your side,
I want to be there and share,
The good times and the bad,
I want to laugh, maybe cry,
Friends that...we never forget.
You’re my friend, I’m your friend
Forgive me if I let you down,
I know it well, you know it too,
I’ll always be close by your side,
I want to be there and share,
The good times and the bad,
I want to laugh, maybe cry,
Friends that...we never forget.
