And they need to hear only what God wants to say

And they need to know what God's grace is
That what God does, what God has
Cannot be bought
They need to know that God can move
For who they are, out of compassion
And not for what they can give

Someone needs to say, someone needs to preach
That He came to pay, that He came to die
So they can live
They need love, they need to see
That innocence brings the risk of paying
For what they won't have

They need God, they need peace
They don't want parents, don't want pharaohs
Or a taskmaster
They need to know that now they can think
That what God sees
The preacher doesn't see, the predator doesn't give

They need God, they need more
They can't see, they need light
They need to see
They need to walk, need to be free
They just want God, they just want peace
They just want to love

They need to know that they belong to no one
That no one can give or manipulate
What God has
They need to see the sky, they need to see the cross
They need to surrender
They need to confess the Name of Jesus
