The Fortune
On any given night Fortune knocked on my door,
and on any given night it's normal that I was there.
She left a message written with rain on the window:
'Tonight I came and you weren't here, sorry for you.'
I couldn't believe the girl would play these pranks,
even though friends told me it was true, man, it was true.
I, who was always out of tune, tore my clothes.
I'll continue my path calmly, I'll be a gray guy.
But life put this guitar and a bit of voice in my hands,
and today I find myself happy in my band and in a song:
My life in a song, my life in a song.
I stamped out the cigarette in a puddle on the ground
and it sailed away like a sailboat seeking the high seas.
Down the street, all my dreams ran away in one blow.
Fortune gives each man a chance.
But life put this guitar and a bit of voice in my hands,
and today I find myself happy in my band and in a song:
My life in a song, my life in a song.
