Todos somos capitanes

We Are All Captains
When I wasn't sure which port to head to
any wind that blew was never in my favor.
When the sea is calm,
we are all captains, but when it grows,
nobody grabs the helm,
but when it grows
nobody grabs the helm.
I paid my bail of sadness
so long ago that I no longer have the desire
to fight for reason,
I toast to the clarity that the years give me
and to so much disillusionment.
In the deepest place of the worst of paths
between nowhere and oblivion,
I was that wounded animal that stitched up
unstitched wounds and patched up the skin.
Oh, oh, oh..
My reserves of trust,
I keep them somewhere,
it's a shame I don't remember where I could have left them.
3 rings I carry anchored around my neck,
hang me if it's for them,
for no one else will I cry.
I turned what I loved the most into a sad miller.
And the bones of this poor sinner were crushed,
who lacking faith and atheist deserves more to go to hell
than to have a place in heaven, the experience,
sadness, barely understanding the soul,
and no matter how much I dodge
I can't escape from this skin
that keeps my blood at just the right temperature
but it's useless against so much stupidity
we are all captains, we are all captains..
3 rings I carry anchored around my neck
hang me if it's for them
for no one else will I cry.
Oh, oh, oh..
