La Flor Más Bella

The Most Beautiful Flower

The norm is to find ourselves in the wrong place, it's normal
Without feeling like we are part of the confusion that nests by our side
Nothing is ever enough because everything is so urgent, it's normal
Stepping on the small flowers to pick the most beautiful ones and of the most beautiful colors

And yet, I don't know if it's worth it
The price that must be paid

To live the most beautiful flower, how many more must die?
What good is it to be the queen if there's no one in the garden?
Why go to the beach when no one will remain?
To make sand flowers and let the sea take them away

The banks of a river are never the same, it's normal
And often one enjoys what the other must suffer, it's a given
The future always involves seizing each day between your teeth
And squeezing until it breaks to extract the pure marrow of life from within

And yet, I don't know if it's worth it
The price that must be paid

To live the most beautiful flower, how many more must die?
What good is it to be the queen if there's no one in the garden?
Why go to the beach when no one will remain?
To make sand flowers and let the sea take them away

And yet, I don't know if it's worth it
The price that must be paid

To live the most beautiful flower, how many more must die?
What good is it to be the queen if there's no one in the garden?
Why go to the beach when no one will remain?
To make sand flowers and let the sea take them away
