Aranjuez, Mon Amour
Richard Anthony
Aranjuez, My Love
My love, on the water of the fountains, my love
Where the wind takes them, my love
As the evening falls, we see floating
Rose petals
My love, and the walls crack, my love
In the sun, in the wind, in the rain, and in the passing years
Since the May morning they came
And when singing, suddenly they wrote on the walls with the tip of their rifle
Very strange things
My love, the rosebush follows the traces, my love
On the wall and entwines, my love
Their names engraved and every summer
The roses are a beautiful red
My love, the fountains dry up, my love
In the sun, in the wind of the plain, and in the passing years
Since the May morning they came
The flower in the heart, barefoot, slow steps
And eyes lit with a strange smile
And on this wall when the evening descends
One would think they see bloodstains
But they are only roses
Aranjuez, my love
