Faithful Job
There was a man in the land of Uz
He was upright and God-fearing
His name was Job, a man of worth
Everything he did pleased the Lord
But one day Satan came
Asked the Lord to test Job
And God allowed it just for Him to know
That the faithful can endure all
But never abandon the Lord's path
And so it happened that Satan
Began to destroy Job's wealth
Killing animals, destroying everything
Committing atrocities without mercy
And thinking it was not enough
He touched what Job loved the most
Killed his children with great fury
And faithful Job wept
Tore his robe and worshiped God
And as his trial continued
An illness came to afflict him
And the enemy, thinking
That Job would fail this time
But amidst so much anguish and affliction
Job remained steadfast and faithful to God
And the enemy was unmasked
And faithful Job was restored
And God gave him double of what he lost
Look, my brother, if you are tested
Have patience like Job did
If your trial is great
Know that the victory will be even greater
God is watching over you, brother
And will put an end to this affliction
Stay strong, your time has come
God is sending the enemy away
Take hold of your victory today
