La Siesta
Riki Musso
The Nap
It's the first time, maybe the last
I try to fall asleep in a chair
Because my bed is covered in brown
Covered in tar and dirt
I don't know where my sheets went
I washed them yesterday morning
The bedroom is full of frogs
And the ceiling seems to be coming down
And cockroaches fall from the walls
And water seeps in everywhere
I'm going to try to open the window
Jump outside and escape
Maybe in a corner on the city streets
I'll be able to take a nap
If I could be a little carefree snail
I would crawl inside my golden shell to sleep
If I could be a sardine in a can
I wouldn't worry about swimming
Because I would take a nap
What a dream
