Essa Moça Tá Diferente

This Girl's Different
This girl’s different
She doesn’t know me anymore
She’s way ahead of the game
And she’s leaving me behind.
This girl’s made up her mind
To get super modern
She only dances on the low
So no one will notice her.
I grow roses and write rhymes
Thinking it’s all so great
She looks down on me
And plans to un-invent the beat.
I play her a flute concerto
But it doesn’t stir her heart
She wants to see the astronaut
Land on the TV screen.
But time goes on
And time comes back
She tears me apart
But what’s the big deal
If she only holds onto spite
If she only keeps her disdain
But time goes on
And time comes back
She tears me apart
But what’s the big deal
If on the left side of my chest
Deep down, she still cares for me.
This girl’s like that window
I’m tired of singing about
And now she’s just doing her thing
Just breaking things apart.
