A Estação
Roberto Carlos
The Station
I felt that something was going to tell me
In the time that remained before leaving
But your silence told me much more
Than all the words I could hear
In your gaze, a disguised sadness
In your chest, an anticipated longing
Then your hand caressed my face
And tenderly stroked my hair
And your voice was heard saying goodbye
And I was lost in thoughts and memories
I don't know how long I stayed there
And how I managed to control my emotions, I don't know
To not see me sadder, she smiled
Looked into my eyes, kissed me, then left
Walked with calm steps and stopped
Waved me goodbye once more, then continued
I remembered everything as it used to be
Without farewell and lives so distant
Still standing at the station, she saw me
Waved me goodbye once more, then left
And her hand waved at me once again
And I was lost in thoughts and memories
I don't know how long I stayed there
And how I managed to control my emotions, I don't know
