Shining on a vast stage
In a whirlwind of light, of light
Emerges the image of that
Which my samba translates

The star keeps shining
Sprinkling a thousand sequins
On the ground of poetry
The main star
From the suburb of Central
Was the pioneer

And a luxury train departs
To exalt her art
That enchanted Madureira
Even with the stage turned off
The apotheosis is infinite
The star continues
Shining in the sky
