La Posada

The Gathering
November's come to an end, and so did December's days
Close to Sancheselis, we celebrated a gathering
It was organized by the lawyer, with some important folks in play
I was just wandering around, found myself in Culiacán
When I got a message, my buddy R was calling me, man
Told me to head to the ranch, said the party was in full swing
As soon as I got to the ranch, I saw a lot of armed guys
The band was playing loud, but not many were dancing high
Among them was Don Mayo, and the Chapo was there too, no lie
At 3 in the morning, I saw a convoy rolling in
I thought they were the bad guys, but it was Zambada's kin
The Ondeado was arriving, to back up the gathering's spin
I greeted Chapo and Mayo, and the lawyer was in sight
Don Juanito was protecting, the one who's now the most wanted in the fight
The most powerful party, my eyes have ever seen that night
Just a few minutes later, they asked me to sing a tune
There were the guys from Enigma, we kicked off La Charla soon
Then Los Alegres followed, and the band kept playing in the room
Ivan smiled and said to me, thanks for coming, my friend
I thought you wouldn't show up, it was getting late, the end
I smiled back and told him, I never bail on you, my friend.
