Tempestades

What a great storm arose!
What turbulence!
The whole boat was shaken
I completely let go of that helm
There was no strength
Faith fled from the heart
The waves crashed mercilessly
What discouragement!
I felt myself dying of anxiety

At that moment I remembered my Lord
I asked for His help and He delivered me from my fear
Why are you afraid? He asked me
He who calmly woke up from sleep
He did not respect the gale
He spoke to the sea and it obeyed His voice

There are storms in the sea
They are so violent
They can make you shipwreck
There are also storms within the heart
They steal the calm
And have no compassion on you

Talk to God
He will hear you
I am sure He will not forsake you
He will give you security
And confidence in your being will be reborn
