God passed by in springtime
And everything sang in its wake
The earth still sings whole
And sings that you will sing

The bird sings, the river, the plants
They sing the moon and the sun
And while working, the woman sings
And sings at the foot of the cradle

And sings deep within the earth
The past is never past
And days and nights, from mountain to mountain
As everything sings in Montserrat.

We are and will be Catalan people
Whether you want it or not
For there’s no land more proud
Under the sun's embrace.
