Un Hombre Llamado Jesús

A Man Called Jesus
The story goes that a man called Jesus
Claimed to be the son of God.
Nobody believed, they said, 'He's crazy',
They didn't give him a chance.
Then they saw him grow, preach, and teach
At a young age.
They were surprised but still didn't believe him,
He hung out with women and also,
Multiplied fish and bread.
He healed the sick,
Ate with men, rich and poor...
He spoke of an ideal world
Where we all gathered in peace,
Preached love, sowed hope
Offering nothing more than his heart.
They also say that by the sea he went to find
Whoever wanted to accompany him,
He invited and fishermen accepted
Leaving their homes, going with him.
Then he healed lepers and was accused of being
The devil's successor.
He shared the word and the joy
Of God because it was within him,
However, this led to his death.
He called everyone brothers,
Played with children, unafraid of anything...
He spoke of an ideal world
Where we all gathered in peace,
Preached love, sowed hope
Offering nothing more than his heart.
He was crucified on a Friday,
But he already knew he would face death,
He was thirty-three years old,
Close friends and a plan of salvation.
Now I wonder, what was the harm he caused?,
Why did he have to die?,
His mission was to give his life for love,
To give his life for everyone, for me.
This man called Jesus; my song
And my great motivation,
He is my God, he is peace and love,
He is surrender, he is the better life,
He is Christ, our king, he is the Lord.
