A Morte de um Deus de Sal
Ronaldo Bôscoli
The Death of a Salt God
End, João died, João of the sea.
God who wanted to take, who took to the end,
A sea god, that another God killed,
Who fish, fished, but did not return...
Dawn came and the blue of the sea brought, then,
A salt god, with a fish in hand.
She understood, looked at João and hugged him,
And in her eyes the sun shone brighter...
They say a silver fish,
Fought too much not to die, and then,
João fought, boat overturned, sea took.
Sea for João, was brother, was sky, was bread...
They say a silver fish,
Fought too much not to die, and then,
João fought, boat overturned, sea took.
Sea for João, was brother, was sky, was bread...
End, João died, João of the sea,
God who wanted to take, who took to the end...
A sea god, that another God killed,
Who fish, fished, but did not return...
Dawn came and the blue of the sea brought, then,
A salt god, with a fish in hand.
She understood, looked at João and hugged him,
And in her eyes the sun shone brighter...
