Rosa Passos
Summer
Five surfboards glide on the waves
And the surfers seem to fly
There are sailboats in the distance
And the sunrise promises moonlight
Seagulls shoot like arrows
In a dive without brakes in the blue
And I feel, just like the poet
"living water from the southern seas"
There are conversations and laughter in the bars
And lilacs in the ending afternoon
Buses pass full of glances
And a desire for something new inspires me:
I crave the fervor of other times
And the beauty of days gone by
It rains so much in my feelings
And it's summer, it's summer, it's summer
