Cosas Olvidadas (Tango)

Forgotten Things (Tango)
After a long, long time
Now I'm talking to you again
What a sensation to hear you
It seems like it was yesterday!
You see, I'm much older now
And you're just like those days
When you loved me so much
Nothing remains, everything is gone!
They are forgotten things
Those old loves
And when we recall better times
Our gazes become clouded
They are forgotten things
That return faded
And, in the solitude of our lives
They open wounds in the heart
There's a sad tone in your voice
Of sorrows and melancholy
And, at its spell, my soul
Tries not to cry!
It hurt both of us
To revive the dead hours
And the heart opened its doors
To the sadness of remembering
