La Deje Partir (Zamba)
Ruben Alberto Benegas
I Let Her Go (Zamba)
The Sun is already dying late
In the bleeding and blue horizon
And my zamba gets lost in the shadow
My zamba that used to be a landscape of light
Late already, heart
Anxious hours have finally arrived
And I felt as if the night
Of all times fell before me
I felt her cry, I didn't console her
I let her go so far from me
And my zamba sang in the afternoon
Look at her in silence: Let her go
When the prayer falls
The nests without light embrace the branches
And the wings and trills quiet down
Echoes that awaken the blue dawn
But in my heart
There will only be a silence hurt by love
Without radiant dawns that bring
Lights of hope to my heart
I felt her cry, I didn't console her
I let her go so far from me
And my zamba sang in the afternoon
Look at her in silence: Let her go
