Tierra Dura (Etiopía)

Hard land, scorched by the sun; dry mud,
no rain in sight, no flowers bloom. Horizon that fades
amid the desert heat, bitterness is its color.

Hard land, her and I, neither forgives, nor her or I.
I walked through a sepulchral silence, on land with
no borders, no end. Naked, with my skin soaked in
sweat; my shadow was as tired as me.
