The Peace
Your peace doesn't come from a bad night's sleep
Nor from the smoke of a great war
It's not in a dying and wounded soldier
When his blood moistens and stains the earth
Peace is not found in the brave and powerful
Nor in the riches of this world
Peace is not in the pleasures of this life
Without peace, it's wandering without an exit
He alone is peace
He alone is love
He alone is my life
He alone is the Lord
He alone sustains me
He alone is my light
He alone is my King Jesus
Your neighbor without peace and suffering
Breaks you
The hungry and thirsty crying out
For water and bread
Unprotected, barefoot
Having nothing
Without a roof, homeless sleeping on the ground
No one in this life has peace without my God
It's not found on earth
It's not found in the sea
It comes from a place far from the earth
It comes from God in the heights
From a celestial place
He alone is peace
He alone is love
He alone is my life
He alone is the Lord
He alone sustains me
He alone is my light
He alone is my King Jesus
