Saliendo del Pretorio
Ruth Ríos
Leaving the Praetorium
Leaving the praetorium, a procession marches
Heading to Calvary, a man is suffering
The cross on his back, causing him wounds
He can't walk
He can't take a step and falls on the road
Receives a lash on his wounded body
He can't move forward, only a cry is heard
Get up, cursed one!
No, he can't be cursed, the one who in his pain
Exclaims with a cry: Forgive them, Lord!
Forgive them their faults, don't look at their actions
Have compassion on them
I thirst for a friend, I thirst for love
I thirst for a human to have compassion
To accept this blood that I am shedding
For their salvation
He can't take a step and falls on the road
Receives a lash on his wounded body
He can't move forward, only a cry is heard
Get up, cursed one!
No, he can't be cursed, the one who in his pain
Exclaims with a cry: Forgive them, Lord!
Forgive them their faults, don't look at their actions
Have compassion on them
He can't be cursed, the one who in his pain
Exclaims with a cry: Forgive them, Lord!
Forgive them their faults, don't look at their actions
Have compassion on them
No, he can't be cursed
But He
Was wounded for our rebellions
Crushed for our sins
The punishment for our peace was upon him
And by his wound, we have been healed
