Na Casa do Oleiro
Ruthe Dayanne
At the Potter's House
The word of the Lord came to me
And told me to go down
To the potter's house
For he had something to tell me
And there were details I needed to see
And I could see
How the potter worked
With the vessels on the wheels
Suddenly something happened that terrified me
When in the potter's hands
The vessel broke
And when I realized
The potter had already picked up the pieces
Gathered and kneaded all the clay
And a new vessel he formed
And the Lord said
Can I not do with you as this potter?
Oh! House of Israel
As the vessel in the hands of the potter
So are you
I break, I knead, I make and unmake
The vessel is mine, the dominion is mine
I am the Potter!
And it's no use, wanting to contend
Would a vessel say to the potter what to do?
For in your house and in your family
The control is mine!
I will break the old vessel and make a new one
I will, I will, I will
I will break the old vessel and make a new one
I will, I will, I will
And the Lord said
Can I not do with you as this potter?
I will, I will, I will
I will dismantle it completely
And remake it with great care
Then mold it, to fill it with my power
I will fill, I will fill, with my power
I will fill, I will fill, with my power
