Imbolc
Salduie
Imbolc
An ancient ritual
That bathes the world in life
Bear, ancestral beast
Who sleeps with our dreams
That in the winter you will be
Holding in your womb
The souls of those who will not
Breathe again
Beast that guards death
Bring back
That light that in spring
Nourishes time
Souls in the night
Threaten in the belly
Of the bear that in February
Spreads warmth to the world again
Sows the plains
With life after the cold
That in the winter has protected
The bear from hell
Time that depletes the face of the earth
Your icy breath
Death you will bring with your being
The souls do not find their hell
The bear will swallow them
And release in February
If it finds the darkness
Upon waking from you, winter
In the winter it will rest
Devour the souls
Which it will later expel
Upon waking from the dream
It will seek the Moon
And if it does not find it
Winter will end
Beast that guards death
Bring back
That light that in spring
Nourishes time
Souls in the night
Threaten in the belly
Of the bear that in February
Spreads warmth to the world again
Sows the plains
With life after the cold
That in the winter has protected
The bear from hell
Beast that guards death
Bring back
That light that in spring
Nourishes time
