We were chicks from different eggs
Dealing with absences in our homes
Growing up with guts and instinct
Because they force you in these places

We were a team of noble spirit
Always raiding others' laughter
Four little soldiers standing tall
But with the grit and courage of giants

We were rivals of frivolous beings
Leftovers of youth, whims of adulthood
Dog faces fighting over a patch of grass
That feels alive when it kisses the soccer ball.

And even though hunger lurked in the hallway
Violence was everywhere you looked
And something essential was always missing
We decided to innovate to survive
To perfume our souls with pleasure

We went from raw to cooked with a blowtorch
No clock gave us a second
To count our burning souls
To find a way to turn this world around

Full of shady spirit, we could
Always get our way with our genius
Which is to preserve all that we were
To outsmart the treachery of time.

And today, today we dodge obligations
That try to hit us hard in the heels
Because from four we turned simple
To bend the devil and all his gods.

And it's hard to claim they are my peace
If I've thrown myself into war with zeal
To paint what’s coming in another color
I swear to you that day will come
And what’s to come will belong to everyone equally.
